Who we are has become what we do. In the process, our friendships have become the casualty of a “busy life” and lack consistency and depth. We have a gaping hole inside us that longs to be filled. How do we reclaim who we really are and fill this empty space that seemed to appear from nowhere?

She contacts a history teacher, Cynthia Parsons, to help her prove her ancestor, the original owner of the prayer book, was the true playwright. Lady of the Play
Parallel contemporary and historical chapters take place in Lady of the Play. The modern story begins with Cynthia Parsons finding an original page from A Midsummer Night’s Dream hidden in an ancient Book of Common Prayer for over 400 years. Based on the book’s original owner, she undertakes the research necessary to prove a woman was the true Shakespeare. With each clue, Cynthia uncovers, the story transitions into the life of Elizabeth Trentham. We learn of her innate genius from her childhood, her continued refusal to marry, the ten years as a maid of honor in Queen Elizabeth I’s court, her collaboration with Edward deVere, the 17th Earl of Oxford, and their subsequent marriage. The story continues by answering why they hired an actor, William Shaksper, as their broker and later allowed him to take credit for the plays. Edward died in 1604, and Elizabeth continued with the deception until her death in 1612, the same year Shaksper retired. The modern-day Cynthia faces intrigue, danger, and romance as others try to steal historical documents, thwarting her efforts to reveal the truth. The ending shows compelling evidence that solves this 400-year-old mystery.
Leadership with a Servant’s Heart: Leading in Your Workplace
Great leadership always matters. Yet, there is a noticeable mismatch between what employees want and what leaders deliver. It’s what drives the current state of the workforce. Best-selling author Kevin Wayne Johnson addresses a myriad of challenges and solutions for aspiring and current leaders to narrow this gap. The result is that leaders will know better, do better, and ultimately, lead better. They are servant leaders. Leadership is a spiritual gift from God (Romans 12:6-8). His Word reminds us that “Every good and perfect gift is from above… (James 1:17). “ Unfortunately, it’s a gift that, from time to time, is misused and abused by some in positions of power and authority. When this happens, leaders at all levels, across multiple venues, cause those who they are entrusted to lead to walk away. People don’t leave organizations. They leave because of poor leadership (people).

Living Abroad: Challenging the Myths of Expat Life
“LIVING ABROAD is a useful, honest, laugh-out-loud funny guide for anyone who’s considering a move from the United States to a new country. The author’s years of experience both as an expat and as a writer make for a book that is truthful, realistic, funny, and sensitive. Even though I’m not currently planning to move overseas (although now I’d seriously consider it!), …. truly a pleasure to read. ” Elizabeth P., Elite Editor Although good numbers are hard to calculate, reliable sources estimate that more than 3 million Americans each year decide to try living in another country. Most of them are not making a political statement; some move abroad for economic reasons, some to start a new life or “re-invent” themselves, and some are just seeking new experiences. In the wake of COVID-19 and contentious politics, that number is likely to increase. With over 200 published articles in the international travel/retirement field, three books about travel, a dozen presentations at international retirement conferences on his resumé, and six years living in Ecuador, the author is uniquely qualified to bring you an unvarnished look at the challenges, pitfalls, and possible rewards of expat life. This is not a how-to book, or even a why-to. Instead it is an honest look at some of the questions and myths about living overseas, using entertaining and informative real-life examples to illustrate what is true and what is not so true. The goal is to provide the reader with the good and the bad – not to persuade you to become an expat or not – but to give you enough insight to decide what might be best for you.

Lizard of Transition
On his deathbed, a World War Two veteran, Joe Rubin, confesses to his son that he murdered a Japanese prisoner in the jungles of New Guinea, seventy years ago. In his last hours, Joe enters the world between life and death, known as the world of transition. He tells of his journey, with an odd lizard leading the way, as he recants the tale of the murder prior to his imminent death. He reveals to his son, Joshua, that he possesses, a Good Luck flag – Hinomaru Yosegaki, that he had taken from the Japanese soldier he murdered on the island of New Guinea during the battle of the Druinimor River. The flag has handwritten messages from the prisoner’s family and friends, which reveals his identity and the village in Japan he came from. His son, Joshua is under tremendous pressure. He’s separated from his wife, who comes to visit her father-in-law, bringing the two together to face their problems under the gut-wrenching veil of his father’s passing. By attempting to reunite the flag with the son of the soldier his father killed, seventy years ago, will the family find their way forward. From the wisdom of the ages, and from the Jewish perspective on death and redemption, “Lizard of Transition” shines a light on how understanding death and dying will lead us to live rich and fuller lives.
