A Disturbing Nature
Mid-August 1975, Maurice “Mo” Lumen is exiled from his home in Virginia, bearing the weight of what he’s left behind—accusations, a half-brother, and an inhospitable cot. With the mind and heart of an eleven-year-old—the result of a self-described “accident”—and a love of baseball, Mo emerges in Rhode Island just shy of his twenty-fifth birthday. As summer yields to a rain-soaked fall, his frustration rises when news of a prolific killer in the region, nicknamed the Pastoral Predator, overshadows the Red Sox march to the World Series, and Mo unwittingly becomes a central figure in the investigation. FBI Chief Investigator Francis Palmer, fresh off the ensnarement of a monster—Ted Bundy—is thrust into the Pastoral Predator’s destructive path. Permanently scarred by every killer he’s hunted down, The Beast inside Palmer simmers as the investigation hits closer to home, forcing him to confront his demons. By the time Mo and Palmer’s paths collide, a dozen young women are dead. As the list of suspects narrows, Palmer’s confidence is shaken, and Mo begins to doubt his own innocence. Unable to escape their histories, they become increasingly isolated, and old secrets resurface. Who is destined to pay for the sins of their fathers, and who will pay for their own? A Disturbing Nature is a psychological thriller and coming-of-age story that examines Post-World War II America, exploring the heredity of prejudice, the hypocrisy of privilege, and the blurred line between man and monster.

All Is Not Well
Consider this, then, the antithesis of a Wilsonville Chamber of Commerce campaign, an attempt to set the record straight. No judgment, merely a forthright account of what might have been observed during an innocent bystander’s own peculiar experience growing up there in the late fifties through the sixties, when it was abandoned for more enlightened climes, i.e., the city.” Excerpted from All Is Not Well.
All Is Not Well is the story of a town, a sheriff, and a precocious young girl as she matures into womanhood. The girl is a once in a generation athlete, able to beat most of the boys in any sport of their choosing, therefore shunned by the boys who are intimidated by her, and the girls because she is not interested in girly-girl things. She faces a life-altering event at nineteen, and the rest of the story tells how she reacts to this, with the town and the sheriff playing their part in it, and finally finds closure.

Buddhism For Beginners
In his 7th book, Stewart delivers an exegesis on Buddhism, using The Dhammapada (“Path to Eternal Truth”) which are the verbatim words or declarations of Gautama Siddhartha Buddha, himself. Any doctrine other than this and the books of his rules (codes of conduct), have been defiled and should be shunned for this reason.
Hence, if you are new to Buddhism, you will receive the original, verbatim declarations of Gautama Buddha which are the foundation of his undefiled Theravada Buddhism which means “School of the Elders.” I wish you the best in your quest to attain Enlightenment – Transcendence.

Coalbrookdale: The Bangham Family Story
Coalbrookdale is a work of fiction based on the life of my ancestor Joseph Bangham, who lived in the Severn Gorge three hundred years ago. This is a story of an ordinary family living at an extraordinary time and in the district known as the ‘cradle of the Industrial Revolution’. Their lives changed fundamentally as the agricultural evolved into the industrial way of life. The book traces the story of the Bangham family as they move from Banghams Wood where they have been coppicing for decades, across the Gorge to Coalbrookdale and a very different way of life, regulated not by the seasons but by the demands of the furnace.

Growing up, Rev. Hogan witnessed his parents’ marriage dissolve beneath the stress of losing their son, his brother. He dealt with the grief of losing his father at a young age. He helped his wife, Kimberly, battle health issues throughout their marriage. As opposed to becoming angry or resentful of the challenges he experienced throughout life, Hogan found each challenge as an opportunity to deepen and grow his faith. As Rev. Hogan dissects key moments from scripture and shares his own compelling life story, readers will build a foundation for their faith that acknowledges, allows for, and even celebrates worldly experiences.

Leadership With A Purpose: Motivating Your Engineers
In today’s world, effectively motivating and managing highly intelligent technology professionals is challenging. Around the world, people are more educated, informed and highly social about their careers and employers, making retention and employee happiness a full-time job. In fact, companies are beginning to recognize these impacts and have begun employing more “PeopleOps” type human resources professionals to tackle this head-on.
The reality is that most engineers don’t leave jobs, they leave managers. While having a swanky and modern human resources strategy helps keep the company on the cutting edge of benefits and overall happiness, it does not solve the root problem – having good managers that motivate engineering teams.
In the remote and global workforce that we all participate in, establishing a healthy work culture with safe boundaries is an ongoing task that cannot be forced. Add in the complexities of global cultural differences and political phenomena; it’s every leader’s nightmare to manage well.
This book will cover what makes an engineering culture, how to cultivate it, and how to build trust with your teams.
After reading this book, you can effectively motivate, inspire and lead engineering professionals of all levels that are happy and loyal to you.
With years of experience within the software engineering and technology sectors, Robert Murphy has become an expert in building healthy company cultures and motivating engineering professionals.
Once deemed “The King of Culture” by a previous employer, he is passionate about helping other technology leaders on their mission to build highly effective teams. In this debut book, Robert describes his proven methods and provides a roadmap to successful leadership with a purpose!

Me and My Shadow: Memoirs of a Cancer Survivor
Me and My Shadow – Memoirs of a Cancer Survivor is a brutally honest account of one teenager’s struggle to understand and deal with the most feared diagnosis known to society: cancer.
At 18 years of age, John Walker Pattison was thrust onto a roller coaster ride of emotional turbulence – his innocence cruelly stripped from him; his fate woven into the tapestry of life.
After years of failed chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments that ravaged his physical frame and almost destroyed his psychological stability – his parents were told that he would not survive. Yet, today, he is one of the longest surviving cancer patients in the UK.
Eight years after his unexpected recovery, the news that all parents fear, his daughter is diagnosed with terminal leukaemia. Yet like her father, she too would defy the odds and go on to become an international swimmer.
Pattison turned his life full circle and became a cancer nurse specialist at the same hospital that made his diagnosis decades earlier. He prescribes chemotherapy and cares for individuals with the same cancers experienced by both him and his daughter.
Throughout his journey, Pattison’s inspirations were the space rock legends, Hawkwind. He would get to play on stage with his heroes at the Donnington Festival in 2007.
More significantly, he found solace throughout his cancer journey in the history and spirituality of the Lakota Sioux Nation. In 2018, he would spend time on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation with the indigenous people of South Dakota. The same people who, unknowingly, supported him through life’s greatest challenge: cancer.
