Promised Land

Danny Holst is a native son of Harlem. He was born and lived in the community for over a half-century. He experienced family hardships and tragedy while struggling to write. God's calling empowered him to create memorable stories of love and inspiration about the people of Harlem. He incorporates his knowledge of screenwriting that enhances literary romanticism with song lyrics. His passion is to take black American romance to a higher level.

He was a finalist at the 2017 Creative World Screenwriting Competition for his debut novel, The Harlem Story, another 5 Star winner, which includes his autobiography. He graduated from Bernard M. Baruch College in NYC with a bachelor's degree in social studies and studied rehabilitation counseling in the graduate program at Hunter College. He presently lives in Central Florida with his spouse of forty years.
