Kimberly Jarrett

Kimberly Jarrett brought the story of her 2017 rescue, Princess, to life by utilizing her degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She hopes that readers are touched by her words and inspired to open their hearts and adopt rescue animals. Kimberly and her husband, Steve, have adopted five rescues during the course of their 30-year marriage. They live in Charlotte, North Carolina, with their current rescues - Dakota (4) is on her right in the photo, and Lily (9) is on her left in the photo. They have two adult children, Emily and Mark.

In 2000, she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and used her personal experiences with the chronic disease to shape the MS storyline in the book.
