Gabriele Zucchelli

Gabriele grew up in Italy where he discovered the awesome art of animation when he was twelve years old.

He’s worked on several well-known films ever since moving to London, firstly using pencil and paper, and later with computers. Nearly thirty years have now passed since his first job in the UK (Beatrix Potter’s The Tale of Mr. Tod), his later collaborations with Sir Paul McCartney on two animated featurettes, and many other blockbusters including the more recent The Jungle Book and The Lion King.

In 2008 he also directed a well-received historical documentary on the first ever animated feature films: Quirino Cristiani.
