Magpies and Murder

Laura Valorian is an emergency room physician who, while attending a medical conference in Orlando, Florida, stumbles one evening across a victim of homicide—a woman she knows. The dead woman had hidden money in the nearby psychic town of Cassadaga—money that other people desperately wanted. When Laura becomes a suspect in the crime, she and Alec Dupree, a private investigator and friend of hers, dive into the case to help police identify and trap the murderer. Then, another threat—a twisted nemesis from Laura’s past—challenges her in a deadly cat-and-mouse scavenger hunt across Orlando and Cassadaga. Now, with Alec comatose in a hospital ICU after being shot, Laura risks her life to bring down the killers.
