Bullets for Silverware

Pump Fake Press is excited to announce that Jim Antonini's second published novel entitled "Like Falling from an Airplane" is now available. It is about a social misfit and small-time criminal who unexpectedly falls in love with his successful brother’s beautiful new bride and sets out to prove that he’s worthy of her.

Jim is an author from West Virginia. His first published novel is entitled “Bullets for Silverware.” It was a finalist for the Apopodlachia 2020 Best Appalachian Book of the Year. It is about a young pharmacist who takes a job in a small rural town and is introduced to a world of drugs, sex, guns, and deceit. Unexpectedly, he falls for the local ‘good-time girl’ and finds himself trying to solve the mystery behind the disappearance of the pharmacist he was hired to replace. Jim was a young pharmacist in a small West Virginia town and watched the destruction and depravity of prescription drug abuse and addiction. This novel attempts to capture the recklessness of the world he witnessed.
