Sylvia Mulholland

Sylvia Mulholland is an intellectual property attorney and writer, and an expert in the field of trademarks, US, Canada, and Internationally, with law offices in Los Angeles and in Toronto. Born and raised in Canada, she is the author of two novels published by major publishing houses in the UK, Canada, and Germany: Woman's Work and Lingerie Tea, now out of print. A Nanny for Harry and Sisters in Law are her two indie books, available now in Kindle format. Her new book LOOKS CAN KILL will be available soon. Sylvia is also the winner of the Sloan Foundation Fellowship from the American Film Institute ("AFI") in Los Angeles, where she earned her Masters in Fine Art. She has also studied fine art at the Ontario College of Art and Design ("OCAD") in Toronto. Sylvia is married to a Brazilian aerospace engineer and has two millennial children: one is a talented musician and film scorer and the other a talented graphic artist and printmaker. She has many short pieces now on Medium, and her short stories have been published in the literary quarterlies Descant and the Malahat Review. At one time she had a series of short humorous pieces running in Canada's Globe and Mail newspaper, and both Margaret Atwood and Carol Shields have been writing instructors and mentors of Sylvia in her early writing years.
