Biography
Josie Townsend
Josie Townsend was born in regional NSW Australia, the eldest daughter of five children. She started writing at the age of 55yrs old and has self-published two manuscripts and a third on the way.
Her life has been a challenge as a single parent, raising three children after the sudden husband's suicide death which left her with many associated difficulties. She began writing as a form of expressing her feelings and frustrations, recording her life's journey and it as developed into her first novel, an Australian Drama which is based on a true story which is called 'There was Once a Girl'.
After writing her first novel, Josie took a break from writing not knowing that she would ever write again. However, her love for writing grew and she wanted to branch out to write fictional stories. "Can't See Around Corners" was then born as a Supernatural thriller that follows the story of 2 fraternal twins born in opulent wealth but jealousy and deceit tear the sisters apart.
Josie's 3rd manuscript is now under development and is titled "Shadow Bear" which is also a Supernatural Thriller that follows the story of a Young Buddhist Ninja who doesn't know his true heritage or his true power.
Although her first book is based on a true story, Josie loves to write supernatural thrillers which her 2nd and upcoming 3rd manuscript are.
At the young age of 21, Josie had a car accident and lost sight in her left eye, so as a vision-impaired writer it was even more difficult for her to write but she endeavors to follow her heart's desires and keep moving forward in life. Even through her struggles, she believes in never letting life's hardships hold you hostage like you're its victim.
